Ingredients

  • 1 package of 8 Lesters BBQ hot-dogs
  • 8 Hot-dog buns (of your choosing)
  • ¼ Cup smoky BBQ sauce
  • ½ Cup cheese sauce (queso style)
  • 1 Snack size bag of Potato Hickory sticks
  • Pickled red onions
  • Arugula, fresh cilantro and/or pea tendrils

Preparation

  1. Heat the hot-dogs in a non-stick frying pan, add the barbecue sauce, toss to coat and let caramelize. Meanwhile heat the buns. To assemble, generously slather some cheese sauce on the bun, add the hot-dog, top with queso cheese sauce, pickled red onions, hickory sticks and greens. Now you are ready to devour them!

Variant: For an extra kick, you can add or replace the Hickory sticks with fried onions and add some fresh or pickled jalapeno peppers.
