Ingredients

350 g of Lesters shaved steak, pan-seared 

1/2 bell pepper, julienned 

1/2 onion, julienned 

4 sub rolls (6 inches) or panini buns 

8 slices of mozzarella cheese 

4 tbsp softened butter 

Pepper to taste 

 

Cheese Sauce: 

1 tbsp butter 

1 tbsp flour 

1 cup milk 

4 slices processed cheese 

Salt and pepper to taste

Preparation

  1. Sauté the bell peppers and onions in a skillet over medium heat with a bit of oil until tender and lightly caramelized (about 5–6 minutes).
  2. In the same skillet, add the shaved steak and sear for 2–3 minutes.
  3. Split the sub rolls and spread the softened butter on the inside.
  4. Place mozzarella slices at the bottom of each roll and broil for a few seconds to melt the cheese (optional but delicious).
  5. Top with the hot shaved steak and sautéed vegetables.
  6. Drizzle with the cheese sauce.
