Ingredients

1 large sub roll (about 12 inches)
200 g smoked meat (½ Lesters pack)
¼ cup yellow or old-style mustard
¼ cup mayonnaise
8 pickle slices
8 slices of cheese (cheddar, Swiss, or provolone)
1 sliced tomato
2 handfuls of mixed lettuce
Salt and pepper to taste

Preparation

  1. Slice the bread lengthwise. Spread mustard on one half and mayonnaise on the other.
  2. Layer smoked meat evenly, then add pickles, cheese slices, tomato slices, and lettuce.
  3. Lightly season with salt and pepper.
  4. Close the sandwich and press gently to compact.
  5. Cut into slices for serving (6 to 8 portions).
