Simple and so delicious, this recipe idea will ‘elevate’ your smoked meat experience to new heights!


1 box Lesters sliced smoked meat round (400g)

4 Naan breads

1/4 cup chimichurri or pesto (store bought or homemade)

1 container bocconcini ‘pearls’

2 fully cooked red beets (store bought, sous vide)

1 grated carrot

olive oil

salt and pepper to taste

  1. Open package, take out half and put the rest back in the fridge for another use
  2. Cut the smoked meat slices in three pieces, spread the chimichurri sauce on the Naan breads.
  3. Cover the Naan breads with the cut smoked meat.
  4. Add the boconccini 'pearls'.
  5. Preheat BBQ to medium-high heat.
  6. Peel and grate the carrot and beets (using a box greater or mandolin), put in a bowl, drizzle with olive oil and season with salt and pepper.
  7. Put the Naan pizzas on the BBQ checking to make sure they don't burn at the bottom, put on the upper gril, or cook in indirect heat if they grill too fast. Close lid and let the cheese melt a little bit. Depending on each BBQ, the cooking should not take much more than 5 to 8 minutes so you need to check often.
  8. Serve the pizzas topped with the beet/carrot slaw.
