1/2 cup of melted butter
1/4 cup of sugar
2 eggs
1 cup of buttermilk
1/2 tsp of baking soda
1 cup of cornmeal
1 cup of all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp of salt
8 BBQ Lesters hot dogs, cut into six 2 cm pieces each

Preparation
Preheat the oven to 190 °C (375 °F).
In a bowl, whisk the butter with the sugar.
Add the eggs and whisk. Pour in the buttermilk and whisk again.
In another bowl, mix the baking soda with the cornmeal, flour, and salt.
Gradually incorporate the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients, whisking until a smooth batter forms.
Grease the 48 wells of two mini-muffin pans, then place 15 ml (1 tablespoon) of batter into each well. Place a piece of sausage in the center of each well.
Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, until the batter is golden.
Remove from the oven and let cool for 5 minutes before removing from the pan.
