1 454 g pizza dough ball

1 can (250 ml) pizza sauce

1/2 stick Lesters Original Pepperoni 225 g, sliced

½ green bell pepper, diced

1/4 cup sliced black olives

1/2 cup sliced white mushrooms

1 cup grated mozzarella cheese

A few fresh basil leaves (optional)

  1. Divide the dough ball into four equal parts. On a lightly floured work surface, stretch each piece of dough into a circle about 15 to 20 cm (6 to 8 in.) in diameter.
  2. Spread about 30 ml (2 tbsp.) of sauce on half of each circle of dough, leaving a free edge. Divide the pepperoni, green bell pepper, olives, mushrooms and cheese on the sauce.
  3. Fold the dough over the filling to form a half-moon. Seal with a fork.
  4. Preheat hot-air fryer to 188°C (370°F).
  5. Spray hot-air fryer basket with a little oil.
  6. Place calzones in the fryer basket and spray with a little oil.
  7. Cook for 10 to 12 minutes, until golden-brown.
  8. Serve calzones with remaining pizza sauce and, if desired, garnish with basil leaves.
